EMPLOYER PAYROLL DEDUCTION

  • Very convenient!
  • Many companies offer it; check with your payroll department.   If your company doesn't currently offer this, please contact us and we can work together to help increase your giving options!!!

GIVE DIRECTLY

  • The charity receives 100 percent of the donation when you send it yourself.
  • Donating directly through the website's of the Directed Giving Alliances's websites have ZERO fees taken out.  (Most nonprofit websites have fees.)

DIRECT DEBIT OR BILL PAY

  • Offered by local banks, fees vary.
  • Offered by credit unions, usually for free.
  • May be offered by your charity.
  • Can mimic a payroll deduction.

ADDITIONAL  POINTERS

  • Never send cash . If you give online, print the confirmation screen or save the email confirmation of your donation.  It is a good idea to hold on to a printed receipt in case your computer crashes at tax time.
  • When sending a check, verify the address if you get it from the charity’s website.
  • When giving through a third party, always verify through the charity itself that your donation was received.   Some third parties will redirect your donation to themselves if their form wasn't filled out properly. They are under no obligation to inform you of that redirection.
